Marking 26 years since his last album, Hip Hop icon and culture’s greatest storyteller Slick Rick returns with Victory, a groundbreaking visual album dropping June 13, 2025, via Idris Elba’s 7Wallace label and Mass Appeal. Executive produced by Slick Rick and Idris Elba, Victory fuses cinematic brilliance, rich storytelling, and cultural innovation. The project features powerful collaborations with Nas, Giggs & Estelle, anchored by a 25-minute captivating film directed by Meiji Alabi (Beyonce’s Black Is King,) bringing the album’s vision to life through bold visuals and layered narratives. Recorded over four years in South London and France, Victory is more than a visual album, it’s a cultural statement celebrating Slick Rick’s legacy and artistic evolution. The film will make its debut at SXSW London and Tribeca Film Festival. Through a global rollout of compelling content, intimate events, and strategic PR and digital campaigns, Victory aims to honor the past while pushing Hip Hop into new territory.
